Notable changes since the last beta are:

  • Extended runway centrelines changed graphically
  • Map redraw speed increased by up to 40%
  • New dialogs for Map Features and some other settings

Having aonly played with it for a short time in  the house. Well done yet again.

The faster redraw of the screen on my device is certainly noticeable and improved and it makes it much easier and quicker to scroll accross the chart if you have a mind to .The changes to the 'settings'   Instruments and change unit  option is an excellent improvement and very easy  and clear to use,

I'm not too sure about the runway ( in use) extended lines, I thought they looked a bit bolder in the previous beta version and would prefer it to be bolder and I would still prefer them not to extend so far out, ( but I know I'm fighting a losing battle on that one)  I just got my son (also a pilot) to look at the other lighter green coloured runways and because he is colour blind thought they were difficult to see. I think I prefer the previous version of runway display, but can live with what you have done, The runway numbers do show up better against the green runways though.

In the 'route view' when you go to 'specify takeoff' and type in the airfield I noticed that you have removed the select button from the options, I'm being a bit picky, but I preferred to have the select button.

Please don't take my points as being too negative, I'm very impressed with what you have achieved - Thanks again for the work you have done

As my 6" 128 MB sat nav has gone tech (broken screen after disagreement with the floor), I downloaded the latest beta onto my old Mio P550 PDA (Win CE 5.0 / 54 MB ram / 400 MHZ processor). Previously this had, understandably perhaps, struggled to run the software. However this latest beta version appears to run very smoothly, even with all chart features turned on here in Germany. Am, as a result, very impressed with the latest improvements and the "lighter touch" chart drawing (never more than 2 secs to redraw the chart on this limited device). Hopefully this means I can now use this old PDA, which has a rather small 3.5" screen as a back-up to a larger device. Well done SD team!

Wow you guys are genius. The new improved extended centreline is even better and I love the route view menu item now.

Not sure how much faster it is as it was always fast on my Tablet PC.

Just wanted to report that today I undertook a 520 NM round trip from EDTH Heubach (East of Stuttgart) to EDWU Varrelbusch (West of Bremen) with SD13 Jul 2.2 Beta running on my Mio P550 PDA (64 MB RAM only). The software performed faultlessly and accurately for the whole trip, with virtually all map features turned on! I used the chart view + virtual radar for most of the outbound leg and the instrument view for much of the return leg. Wind adjusted headings etc. calculated by SD for the plog were spot on! I think this latest version is a huge step forward and opens up the software for a larger range of WIN CE devices than before. Excellent work guys! Only one question....a lot of the German gliding airfields (ie shown on the DFS ICAO charts) are not shown on the SD chart. On a day like today with a lot of thermals, this would be helpful as at times there can be swarms of gliders in the proximity of these sites. Can these be added at some point?

I believe we have plans to introduce German gliding sites this year.
